Saints Catherine of Alexandria and Agnes

Stained Glass
Church of the Assumption, Kelheim, Germany

Each saint holds a martyr's palm and an attribute – a broken wheel for St. Catherine and a lamb for St. Agnes. Identified as a queen in some of the legends, Catherine is pictured with a crown.

The inscription at the bottom indicates that the windows were a gift of the Kelheim Union of Young Women (Verein der Jungfrauen in Kelheim).
